Galaxies Black Holes Supernovas Animated Gifs

These animated galaxies are quite amazing, showing us what our space looks like from very far away. We are somewhere in the middle of the Milky Way ring. The animations are a little sped up from actual time since it takes the Sun approximately 225-250 million years to orbit around the galaxy. Its called the cosmic year. It seems slow but we move at 800 thousand kilometers an hour around the galaxy, about 130 miles every second! There millions of other galaxies out there and sometimes they collide. We would have to live forever to see that.

Black Holes are created from massive stars exploding as depicted in the supernova animations below. Once a enormous supernova explodes it collapses on itself. Then a giant hole of gravitational energy is created that sucks up everything in it's path and destroys it.

Thank you for visiting. I make a lot of gifs here, especially all the Holidays and Birthday card gifs. I like to share with everyone the best gifs that I find on the internets. The tiny gifs go back to 1999, and the bigger gifs are from recent 2010's. I often minify large gifs so that they are faster sharing. All images are free for personal use. Copyright remains with original author. Enjoy!
